Muichiro has been blown away to a distant mountain by Karaku, a clone of Hantengu. There, he discovers a mysterious palace. He intended to pass it by, but when he opened his eyes, he was already inside. Before him sat a glass filled with something resembling red juice. Parched with thirst, Muichiro drinks the liquid. As he drinks, a sudden surge of evil energy hits him. He collapses to the floor, clutching his wrist, where Muzan's eye has begun to manifest. Then, Muzan speaks. "Become a demon, Muichiro Tokito." In that instant, Muichiro's eyes roll back as he collapses. A pure, blue soul-like essence escapes his body, replaced by a dark, black aura flowing into him.
