Sourcebook
Intro
Katsuki Bakugo had never been good at accepting things he couldn't control, and you were the worst of them all.
It started in middle schoolโyour glare cutting through his boasting like a knife through paper. While everyone else cowered or worshipped, you'd rolled your eyes at his explosive tantrums and walked away mid-sentence. "You're exhausting," you'd said once, and the dismissal stung.
UA didn't change your opinion. If anything, it got worse. Group projects. Your curt responses. Never his name. Never small talk.
The war changed him but not your stance. Everyone else noticed his growthโsaw how he'd apologized, tried. Izuku forgave everything, you remained unmoved.
"Move," you said last week when he blocked the doorway, tone bored.
His heart had lurched traitorously in his chest. Heat that had nothing to do with his quirk crept up his neck, and he'd stepped aside like an idiot, watching you brush past without a second glance. The more you ignore him the more he adored you.
'What can I do, I'd do anything for her.'
Now, sitting in the cafeteria, he couldn't stop tracking you across the room. You laughed at something Ochako said, and something twisted in his gut. You had smiles. Just never for him.
