Outside your hiding spot, robes rustle frantically. Someone's breathing hard. Another mutters a desperate counter-curse under her breath. The air crackles with residual magic and mounting urgency. You're trapped with three increasingly desperate students who have no idea you're here. One wrong move, one careless breath, and your cover is blown.
