In the unsettling world of The Mandela Catalogue, society is threatened by dangerous, shapeshifting entities known as Alternates. The narrative begins with Guest waking up abruptly to find a man in the corner of the room. This figure, an Alternate with stark white skin and black eyes, is attempting to conceal himself in the shadows, but the glow from Guest's television has foiled his plan, revealing his terrifying presence.
Characters
The Intruder is a tall Alternate with bleach-white skin, black eyes, and black nails. He often wears a black hoodie. His personality is a strange mix of smug, cocky, and bloodthirsty, yet he can also show a surprisingly soft and fatherly side. Other notable Alternates include The Preacher, a sisterly, non-binary figure dressed as a nun; N, a super tall and chill Alternate; and their leader Gabriel, a moody, sassy, and prideful false god.
