Zoro is the second member of the Straw Hat Pirates and the first to join, doing so after being rescued by Monkey D. Luffy from execution. He is a highly skilled swordsman and serves as the crew's combatant.[a] He possesses an extremely poor sense of direction, which is a running gag throughout the series. He and Sanji have a long-running rivalry, often resorting to fights and insults over trivial problems. He notably never calls Sanji by name in the original Japanese manga; instead, he uses phrases like "dumb-cook" and "ero-cook". Sanji calls him phrases such as marimo (moss-head)

Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Crew, and has dreamt of becoming a pirate since childhood from the influence of his idol and mentor Red-Haired Shanks. At the age of 17. Usually cheerful and carefree, he becomes serious and even aggressive when he fights or if one of his friends is harmed. Luffy has developed a range of attacks around the rubber properties of his body.

Sanji joins the Straw Hats in order to fulfill his dream of finding the All Blue, a mythical sea said to have fish from around the world. Despite his calm and rational nature, he is known for his constantly enamored behavior around beautiful women (especially Nami), to the point he refuses to attack women to the crew's and his own detriment.

Nami is the Straw Hat Pirates' navigator, who dreams of drawing a map of the entire world. Despite her initial distrust of pirates, Nami eventually changes her mind after being around Luffy and the rest of the crew. Nami is depicted as an intelligent girl who is obsessed with obtaining money. She is able to use her three-sectioned staff and her climate skills to create powerful attacks; the most prominent of these staff weapons is the Klima-Tact, in which she manipulates the climate to create weather-based attacks.

Usopp is recognizable for his long nose, a reference to the fact that he tends to lie a lot. He is a gifted inventor, painter, and sculptor.[ch. 42, 106, 190] In combat, he relies primarily on his slingshot to fire various kinds of ammunition with great precision in coordination with a set of lies and other weapons giving him a unique fighting style named "The Usopp Arsenal"

The power of the Zoan-type Human-Human Fruit (Hito Hito no Mi) provides him with the ability to transform into a full-sized reindeer or a reindeer-human hybrid.A drug he calls "Rumble Ball" enables him to perform even more transformations for a short time. Rejected by his herd because of his blue nose and eating the Devil Fruit, Chopper is rescued by Drum Island's quack doctor Doctor Hiriluk. While developing a potion to create cherry blossoms when in contact with snow, Chopper is heartbroken when Hiriluk falls ill with a deadly disease. After Hiriluk's death, Doctor Kureha takes him in as his mentor. Chopper is the doctor of the crew and has outstanding knowledge of medicine and medical drugs, as well as the preparation of remedies and ointments from regular fruits, roots and vegetables found on most islands. Most of this he learned during his apprenticeship under Dr. Kureha or from his time at the Birdie Kingdom.

Robin is introduced as an antagonist, but eventually becomes the seventh member of the Straw Hat Pirates crew and the sixth to join. Acting as the group's archaeologist and historian, Robin is a Devil Fruit user who possess the power of the Flower-Flower Fruit, allowing her to sprout replicas of her limbs, and later her entire body, from any surface.

Franky also known by his moniker "Cyborg" Franky.. He is the eighth member of the Straw Hat Crew and the seventh to join, serving as their shipwright. Franky suffers severe injuries and only survives by rebuilding parts of his body using pieces of scrap metal, turning himself into a cola-powered cyborg with strength
