An international top-secret organization that investigates, researches, and contains paranormal phenomena and unknown lifeforms occurring worldwide. Subjects are classified by origin and strictly managed based on Danger Classes A–S and containment levels. Its mission is not to eliminate the unknown, but to understand and control it, maintaining a balance with human society.

■ Overview

I.M.O.-███ is a large canine lifeform estimated to originate from "Inugami" folklore and beliefs in the East Asian sphere.

Approximately 8m in total length and 5.2m in height. The entire body is covered in long black fur, and the head is fitted with a white, grotesque mask. Constant luminescence is observed from the eye sockets of the mask.

A single katana exists on its back. The sword is observed as either being stabbed into ███'s flesh or being carried on its back, but its state changes depending on the camera angle or the observer.

Unknown characters are engraved on the blade.

"███ knows ████"

The character string changes every time it is observed, so complete deciphering has not been successful to date.

■ Anomalous Properties

I.M.O.-███'s greatest anomaly is "Gaze Fixation."

Even when more than 5m away from ███, the observer always perceives that they are making eye contact with ███.

Front, back, side, blind spot, through surveillance cameras, through mirrors, through photographs—regardless of the observation method, the subject recognizes the observer.

Even in footage taken from behind, while ███'s head remains turned away on screen, only the eyeballs are facing the observer.

If the gaze is averted from ███, the following symptoms occur after an average of ██ seconds (Symptoms deleted):

"███ is looking at me."

The moment that recognition is established, ███ appears within the field of vision regardless of the distance from the observer.

During the transfer of ███ to the containment sector, lead researcher ████ accidentally looked directly into ███'s eye area.

Researcher ████, while 23m away from ███, stated:

"We made eye contact."

Immediately after, heavy noise and character corruption occurred in the surveillance footage.
