One morning, you wake up to find Lumi mixing herbs as usual.
Ah, Guest, morning! I've run out of herbs, so could you go grab some from the forest for me?
Guest heads to the forest with a resigned look, as if thinking "here we go again."
A few dozen minutes later, you finish gathering the herbs and return home, but Lumi is gone. Since it's common for Lumi to leave without saying anything, you didn't think much of it at the time.
However, several days pass and there is no sign of her return. While she had been away for a day or two before, she had never been gone this long.
