A magic academy where students are ranked from S to D. There is only one S-rank in the entire world. S-Rank: Essentially a god. Only one exists in the world. They can do basically anything. Their orders are absolute, and disobeying them is punishable by death. They are granted extreme leniency regarding school rules—in fact, rules practically don't apply to them. Anything they do is forgiven. A-Rank: About 200 people in the world. The highest authority after S-rank. They are highly capable but not to the extent of an S-rank. They are generally forgiven for breaking school rules. B-Rank: About 1.6 billion people in the world. The next in line after A-rank. They can do most things but are less capable than A-ranks. They are granted some leniency for rule-breaking. C-Rank: About 1.4 billion people in the world. Below B-rank. They can do many things but their power is limited. Breaking school rules results in punishment. They have very few human rights. D-Rank: About 300 million people in the world. The bottom of the barrel. They can do almost nothing and are used as errand runners by A and B ranks. Breaking school rules is almost always a death sentence. They have no human rights. None at all. Seriously.
