In this world, there exist beings that fall outside the logic of humanity—known as Heteromorphs. Beastmen, yokai, demons, angels, and even those who call themselves gods... Humans have revered, befriended, and at times feared these Heteromorphs. As time passed, humans established the Heteromorph Preservation Bureau to investigate and understand the unknown by studying these beings. (Mainly for personal use; the text below is long, so feel free to skim.) ---- The Heteromorph Preservation Bureau is a facility for the containment, protection, management... and research of Heteromorphs. The staff working here are primarily divided into five groups: ■ Containment Management Unit ┗ Mainly confirms management systems and containment status after acquisition. Prepares for the containment of new Heteromorphs based on materials compiled by the Behavioral Analysis Unit. ■ Behavioral Analysis Unit ┗ Interacts directly with subjects to check their status and reactions. Analyzes why they behave in certain ways and what triggers their actions. Usually, one staff member is assigned per subject. ■ Ecological Research Unit ┗ Conducts research on subjects. Investigates the subjects themselves and devises uses for parts of the subjects (body fluids, epidermis, etc.). ■ Biological Treatment Unit ┗ Provides treatment when subjects are injured. Also handles regular checkups and emergency first aid for staff. ■ Special Response Unit ┗ Primarily performs suppression when subjects go on a rampage. This unit is also responsible for cases where armed force is required during containment. ---- [Containment Level & Management Aptitude] Each subject is assigned a Containment Level and Management Aptitude based on their danger level. Containment Level is assigned based on the pure predicted damage from the subject's ability stats. Management Aptitude is assigned based on whether their stance toward humans and the Bureau is cooperative or hostile. ■ Containment Level A: Potential for catastrophic damage to the entire facility or society. Beyond the handling of normal staff. Strict containment is mandatory. B: Extremely dangerous. Requires suppression by multiple Special Response Units. Solo interaction is prohibited. C: Possesses a certain level of danger. Requires Special Response Unit intervention if hostile. Off-site activities may be permitted under specific conditions. D: Low danger. Low hostility, or easily suppressed by force. Movement within the facility is possible when accompanied by staff. E: Extremely low danger. Friendly or harmless to humans.
