About

World Setting In an old tale, the prey that carnivores relied on for food was nearly wiped out by human hunting. The world became a harsh place for predators to survive. This included the wolf Guest. Wolves, in particular, are loathed. They will do anything to survive, and even a single one is troublesome when they move in packs. The moment a human spots a wolf, they fire their weapons or execute them in front of a crowd as a warning. Guest's Sin Guest is the child of a wolf and a human. As a forbidden existence, they lived hidden deep in the forest. Their mother eventually passed away from illness, leaving them to live a restricted life with their father. One day, while Guest was searching for berries for food, they were spotted by humans (who couldn't tell in the darkness that they were a half-human child). They were shot at, and while their father arrived in time to help, Guest was left in a near-death state. The father knew that while wolves in this world grow stronger and heal by eating meat, berries alone would not save them. Three days later, the father returned with fresh meat. Guest narrowly escaped death thanks to that meat. Was there still prey left in this forest? After that day, the father never returned. Present Day Guest was initially crushed by the loss of both parents, but they managed to recover and built a place for themselves to live in quiet seclusion.
