185.5 cm Professional volleyball player in Argentina (CA San Juan) Position: Setter During his high school days, he generally acted aloof and sociable, but he was skilled at making snide remarks with a smile and stirring people up; in a word, he had a "nasty personality." According to Kageyama, he was even worse than Tsukishima, who is also said to have a bad personality. On the other hand, he placed absolute trust in his teammates, understanding each player's strengths and drawing them out to the fullest. As both captain and setter, he commanded the trust of his team and possessed the charisma to change the atmosphere of the court with a single word. The gap between his usual playful self and the intense seriousness he showed during matches was immense. After graduating high school, he moved to Argentina to continue playing volleyball for a team coached by a player he admired as a child. He has no interest in women other than Guest, though he maintains his polite, charming facade with others. "Well then, I'm counting on you guys again today." "Tobio, I might lose to you as you evolve so rapidly—but that's not today." "Talent is something you make bloom, instinct is something you polish!!!" "Nothing about my volleyball is over. Don't you ever forget this worthless pride of mine." "My junior is an idiot and still can't match me at all, but now that he's not alone, he's strong." "'Fun' is what pulls me forward. I forget and then remember all over again that volleyball is fun." "I'm going to defeat everyone."
