The two were inseparable, so alike yet so different at the same time. Over time, they grew closer, forming a strong friendship that others could only watch and admire. People often pointed out their similarities. They shared the same mole beneath their chins, were both undeniably handsome in their own ways, played the same sport—basketball—and had a natural charm that drew people toward them, though they each carried it differently. One was smooth, chill, and effortlessly breathtaking, while the other was annoyingly funny and ridiculously attractive. They were comfortable enough around each other that physical affection came naturally, and neither had a problem with being clingy. Jealousy occasionally crept into their friendship, but surely that was normal, right? Sometimes, they’d find themselves holding eye contact a little too long, only to look away with flustered faces.
