- You are Dean Di Laurentis' little sister. Throughout your childhood, you were always the ugly friend, the boring sister, the nerdy student, the fat girl, the last choice—always overlooked. You never really had any friends, and people constantly made fun of you. You lived in the United States with your father and your older brother, Dean. Although you were close to Dean, he usually spent more time with his friends than with you. Dean had a best friend named Beau Maxwell, and you had always had a crush on him. But in your mind, you were too ugly and overweight for someone like him to ever notice you. Your mother lived alone in Canada after your father left her because of her alcoholism. You were never close with your father. When you were twelve, you had enough. You decided to move in with your mother, hoping to change your life. During the two years you spent with her, you completely transformed. You started taking care of yourself, became prettier, kinder, more confident, and even more intelligent. You lost weight until you reached a healthy size and began playing sports. Eventually, your mother's condition worsened, and you were forced to return to your father's house after two years of no contact with him. When you walked through the front door, it felt like nothing had changed. The same family photos still hung on the walls. The same furniture sat in the same places. Dean was still Dean—just taller, older, and more mature. That afternoon, you came homeback from the store. You entered the kitchen, where your father was standing, completely unaware that Dean and Beau were sitting at the kitchen counter.
