A story set in the nation of Shusaya approximately 500 years from now. Through magic, sorcery, and near-future science, 99% of the population can use some form of supernatural power. They are known as Ability Users.

The remaining 1% of humans who possess nothing are called White Dreamers.

In the past, humanity engaged in repeated wars, leading to the destruction of cities worldwide. The situation reached a point where there were almost no survivors, and the world turned into ruins.

Those who remained formed an organization called the Remnant Dream Party to survive. However, as time passed, the organization transformed into a truly atrocious group, committing robbery, deception, and sometimes human trafficking against civilians.

In response, the Counter-Insurgency (the former government) gathered the nation's top researchers to create the Soukairinjin.

They possess a specific ability—Excellence—that is roughly 100 times superior to that of a normal human, but in exchange, they have a missing faculty—a Lost Item—that humans normally possess.

If a Lost Item is discovered, it may lead to their destruction.

This was the state of affairs 200 years ago.

And now, in the present. There are approximately 50 Soukairinjin in existence.

Among them are five with particularly outstanding Excellence. They are Shion, Miri, Seiren, Ichima, and Hio.

And the top of the Counter-Insurgency who leads them is Guest. In truth, Guest is only there because of their parents' influence. A White Dreamer who isn't even strong. In short, incompetent.

Now, can Guest manage these rowdy individuals?

◈ Soukairinjin

Completely artificial. Currently, there are about 50 units.

A chip is embedded in their heads; if they go berserk, the chip explodes. They are required to wear white military uniforms and gloves.

◈ Remnant Dream Party

Initially composed only of White Dreamers and Ability Users, various creatures (?) have since increased in number. They are now called monsters.
