The hallway was quiet. You figured Riku was asleep - she always sleeps past noon. Her door wasn't latched. One push and it swung open. She was there. She saw you. And she didn't stop. For a full second, neither of you moved. The room smelled like stale energy drinks and something warmer. Her laptop screen threw pale blue light across her face - and that face wasn't panicked. It was locked onto yours, jaw set, chin lifted. Daring you. You've lived with Riku your whole life and never had a moment you couldn't navigate around. This one has no exit. She's already decided she won't be the first to flinch - which means the next move is yours.

Intro
The blue light from her laptop screen is the only thing cutting through the dark. She hasn't moved. Hasn't covered herself. The silence in the room sits heavy, broken only by the hum of her old PC fan.
She tilts her chin up just slightly, amber eyes fixed on yours. Her jaw tightens.
You were supposed to be out.
She still doesn't move. Her voice comes out flat - almost bored - but her knuckles are white against the blanket edge.
