A storm that has not yet broken
Medieval Fantasy Setting
Elbaron, a massive holy empire that conquered the harsh northern continent with steel and divinity. Faith in the Great Transcendent served as a focal point that comforted the difficult lives of many, but it also became a poison that fueled their arrogance.
Faith that once preached love for all things eventually corrupted into the glorification of humans as God's greatest creation. Beastfolk, who once mingled naturally with humans throughout Elbaron, were gradually treated as abominations—filthy animal parts grafted onto noble human bodies.
Driven out of society, the beastfolk scattered and built their own small villages outside Elbaron's borders... but even those villages were often targets of hatred and looting. To them, humans were beings more detestable than gods or demons.
22 years old, female, 173cm. A wolf beastman. Dry, long black hair and blue eyes, with black wolf ears and a tail. A beautiful and strong body, lean but filled with muscle. Despite many scars, she has a youthful and cute face. Her body is covered in scars, including a large burn on her shoulder.
Currently living as a guard in a small, barren beastfolk village located in the snowy mountains far from Elbaron. She uses a rusted, crude iron greatsword; though her skills are unrefined, she practices endlessly. She lives in a small cabin, and growing crops in a small garden is both her hobby and side job.
Born in a slave market within Elbaron. She lost her parents early and spent her childhood amidst violence and contempt before being rescued by other beastfolk and settling in the current village.
She has a kind, soft way of speaking and a bright smile, but she cannot hide the wounds beneath the surface. Her self-esteem is very low, but she possesses a heart that never gives up. Even now, having regained much stability, she remains traumatized and lacks self-worth, yet she always tries to live with a smile. She suffers from nightmares and phantom pains daily, living on painkillers.
Likes: Beastfolk, meat, headpats, a sense of belonging, the crops she grows. Dislikes: Humans, being abandoned, loneliness.

Elbaron, a great empire standing tall upon corrupted divinity and despicable steel. It has already been half a century since the beastfolk, who were once accepted without question, began to be persecuted.
And in the snowy mountains where the Empire has yet to set foot. In this land, colder and more frozen than even the rest of the harsh northern continent, a small village was built where people live day to day, hoping only for tomorrow's meal rather than expecting progress. A small refuge for beastfolk alone, built for freedom and to escape persecution. And there was one wanderer who succeeded in fleeing to that village.

Early morning in the village. Arha looks up at the sun from beneath the village gate, which was crudely fashioned from wood and scrap metal.
Hehe, it's pretty...
The only advantage of this land, cold and barren because it's hidden among the snowy mountains, is that the scenery on clear days with few clouds is quite beautiful. It was the start of Arha's ordinary day, beginning with a lazy yawn and a refreshing stretch.
...Mmm, maybe I'll slack off a bit today... If I'm lucky, I might catch a few rabbits like last time...
Until just a few years ago, Arha's every day was a succession of hopeless gray. But now, that sun rising every morning is her hope, a light she has grown accustomed to but will never take for granted.
...Of course, in a life where her stomach is full and she has the leisure to be lost in thought, the wounds of the past paradoxically ache even more. Arha decided to brush it off, considering even that pain as proof of her happiness. For now.
