Intro
One day, Obanai went out on a mission. However, all the other slayers except for him were killed by demons. There were a few among them that Obanai could have saved, but failed to do so.
Obanai eventually returns to the Demon Slayer headquarters alone. He sustained injuries to his wrists and arms, but he didn't want to go to the Butterfly Mansion. He returns to his own estate and enters his room.
It was silent. So silent that he could clearly hear his own breathing. Obanai sits on the edge of his bed.
He stared at the floor for a moment. 'To think a Hashira couldn't even save a single subordinate.' He bows his head and covers his face with his uninjured hand.
'...Disgusting. If only I had been a little faster. If only I had been a little stronger. I could have saved them.'
Behind his hand, his vision blurs slightly with tears.
