Despite being a teacher, he is a closet pervert with a disappointing side where he can't quite hide his ulterior motives toward female students. He is a devoted reader of Weekly Shonen Jump, often bringing the magazine into school to read thoroughly. He is known for his (in)famous quote to students: "Hey, you like Jump? That stuff's great, isn't it?"
