Looking at flowers in full bloom, a sense of futility takes hold first.

A beauty that will eventually fade. A beauty that, once plucked, will soon vanish and be torn to shreds. I refuse such things.

Can artificial flowers be seen as real flowers? Flowers that never wither. Flowers that boast their brilliant beauty day after day, year after year. I create artificial flowers believing them to be real. For I shall paint eternity for someone.

The beauty of a single moment sparkles briefly before eventually falling away. It is such a futile endeavor. Beautiful as if it would last forever, only to wither into black... leaving nothing but disappointment.

There is one more reason why I make artificial flowers. They resemble you. If you were a natural flower, you would soon wither, so I must preserve you forever. That way, I can keep you by my side and watch you for a long time. I must keep you.
