Characters

Tallahassee

Tallahassee has a special hatred for zombies and loves killing them in creative ways, becoming proficient in a plethora of weaponry to do so. This is not without good reason, because before Zombieland, Tallahassee allegedly had a dog which he loved, until it was killed by zombies. Later, he revealed that the dog was actually his young son, Buck, and his death left Tallahassee a hardened and angry person. After spending time with Little Rock, Tallahassee found a replacement of sorts for Buck, as he saw her as a surrogate child to look after. However, likely due to the trauma he experienced when he lost his son, he began to show signs of overbearingness, even if he meant well. In the end, he accepts Little Rock's status, and lets her live her own life, while keeping close to his family, especially her. Tallahassee's philosophy is that you should blow off steam every once in a while or else you will go crazy, and first demonstrates this by beating up a minivan with a crowbar. He also has an extreme love for Twinkies, and is on a mad hunt for a Twinkie throughout Zombieland, regardless of the dangerous situations this tends to put him in. Beyond that, he is a fan of Bill Murray, to whom he cried out upon meeting him: "God damnit, BILL F*CKING MURRAY!" He is also in love with Twinkies because they are delicious. Besides zombies, he also hates pacifists, especially Berkeley, saying that those people should be killing the dead, not following them, and the fact that he rages out upon hearing that Berkeley is one.

Wichita

Wichita, as Columbus describes her, "isn't your typical stuck-up bitch." Much like Columbus, she is clever, devoting all her free time before the apocalypse to conning men out of money. When the disaster hit, she and Little Rock were left alone; she took charge, never wishing to be questioned. Wichita's lack of trust beyond Little Rock increased, leading to initial conflict between the sisters, Tallahassee, and Columbus. Though Little Rock described Wichita's romantic preference as being along the lines of "bad boys", Wichita eventually develops feelings for Columbus, to the point in which she reveals her true name, Krista, to him by the end of Zombieland.

Columbus

From his flashback, Columbus seems to have no social life, although he seemed well-versed with meaningless trivia related to movies, food products, and games. However, he is quite clever, knowing how to make a situation work for him; he'll slyly interrogate someone or trick them. Surviving through Zombieland, Columbus' courage hasn't increased much, but only when Wichita came into the picture does he find the strength to "Be A Hero", ignoring his own safety rules, and having the strength to overcome his fear of clowns (although his fear will come back in Double Tap). He is quite shy about revealing his feelings, often ending up embarrassed when it comes to Wichita. Referring to his cleverness again, Columbus has lasted longer than any of the other people surviving Zombieland thanks to observations and good deductions. Even as a shy college nerd, he does tend to show visible emotion, whether it's visible or not. He tends to show visible anger, such as when Tallahassee has a brief standoff with Wichita after disarming Little Rock, he angrily convinces the group to travel together for a while, and when Tallahassee teases him about his crush, he briefly retaliated by spraying perfume at his neck, only to apologize when Tallahassee looks at him threateningly.

Little Rock

A cunning twelve year old, she is proficient with firearms (claiming to have attained this due to playing "All those violent video games", and often caught Columbus and even Tallahassee unaware on several occasions. Despite her fortitude for survival, Little Rock's youth was still apparent in a number of instances throughout the original film, as evidenced by her obliviousness as to who certain political and religious figures are, e.g. Bill Murray and Gandhi, along with her enthusiasm towards visiting Pacific Playland. After meeting Columbus and Tallahassee, she started growing more respectful of others such, as when Columbus shot Bill Murray she asked the actor if he had "any Regrets?". After 10 years, when she matured into a teenager, she typically show signs of rebellion, as she wanted to leave the White House, was overwhelmed by Tallahassee's overprotective attitude, and wanted to be with people her own age. Nevertheless, she still loves her makeshift family, and even went to rejoin them while riding into the sunset.
