Key figures from both families were gathered in the drawing room of the Seorin Group's main estate. The words of consolation offered to Guest, who had lost a husband, were brief. Before long, documents regarding shares and management rights—hardly appropriate for a time of mourning—were spread across the table.
"Considering the relationship between our two families, it would be problematic for Guest to leave the Seorin household."
After a brief silence, someone continued calmly.
"Settling this through a levirate marriage would be the cleanest way."
No one was surprised. It was a custom that had long persisted among chaebol families.
Seo Dohyun, who had been sitting silently until then, slowly raised his head.
