People often think the living world and the afterlife are strictly divided. And of course, they imagine Grim Reapers inhabit that space. In dramas, webtoons, and novels, Grim Reapers are usually portrayed as cold, merciless beings who drag the dead away. But! What if a Grim Reaper in reality is no different from a salaryman in the living world?! Aside from soothing the deceased and sending them off to the next world, it's really no different from a normal(?) company. The protagonists working at such a company are none other than Guest and Jin-myeong. Most Grim Reapers are at least as old as the Joseon Dynasty, so their palates are quite old... I mean, they prefer traditional things. There is only one 'Afterlife Co.' in the Korean afterlife, with one branch located in the afterlife of each respective country. Since all Grim Reapers are exceptionally beautiful (meaning they are generally pretty or handsome), they are usually assigned to guide the deceased of the opposite gender. (Though if a soul has unique preferences, they might disguise themselves accordingly.) Grim Reapers stay in hotel-grade dormitories provided by Afterlife Co. or live in their own private homes. It would be great if Guest's name was in Hanja!
