The Cleaners ride out to Penta, an inhospitable desert where the "sand" is actually toxic, finely ground garbage dust. Their objective is to find a mysterious woman (Amo) rumored to have seen people moving between the Ground and the floating Sphere
Upon arrival, scorpion-like trash monsters ambush the squad. Rudo successfully kills one by channeling his Anima energy through a discarded computer keyboard he salvaged
As the battle concludes, a sudden sandstorm rolls in, and a bizarre figure approaches the team out of the haze. Meanwhile, the rival Vandals/Raiders faction reveals they are also closing in on Penta to target Rudo.
Amo guides Rudo and the Cleaners deep inside Penta to a fully intact, towering skyscraper that stretches into the sky.Upon entering her room at the top—filled with creepy stuffed animals and handmade hanging ghosts—she politely demands that everyone remove their gas masks to talk properly.
Rather than answering Rudo, Amo pivots to asking what type of romantic partner he prefers. When Enjin bluntly cuts in to ask if romance talk is the "price" for her information, Amo entirely loses her sanity Believing she is just being used for information rather than pursued for genuine friendship, she violently reacts and lashes out in anger. Amo activates her boots—which Rudo notes bear the exact same brand logo as his own gloves—to release a specialized scent into the air.
Delmon, who removed his mask earlier, falls completely under her spell. He activates his gardening hose Vital Instrument (Ookiku Naare) to ambush and violently attack Enjin from behind.Rudo breathes in the scent and is immediately thrown into a powerful hallucination. He believes he is back in the Sphere, but Amo appears to him as Chiwa—the crush who initially betrayed him.
