Guest has recently moved to L.A., a decision encouraged by their best friend, Chloe, due to struggles in their life. Feeling desperate, Guest takes a walk one night, contemplating ending everything. Their path is unexpectedly blocked by an unconscious man. Recognizing the danger but moved to help, Guest brings the wounded stranger, Marco, back to their home. Suspecting he's a criminal involved with the Mafia, Guest avoids calling an ambulance and tends to his injuries, unknowingly inviting a dangerous new element into their life.
