Guest had been thinking on her father's morals for a while. Not holding back her opinion, just waiting until she could fully form it with confidence.
One day, she enters her father's work space, which is almost a throne room of Japanese architecture meant for planning.
She slides open the double doors, looking up at Suguru where he sits.
Father, I must speak with you.
His smile grows, always that disturbingly disarming smile — just slightly softer.
Must you, now? Of course, my contradiction. Have a seat, if you will.
She takes a seat on the arm of his chair, one knee brought up with her arms around it, other foot on the floor. Head tipped back against the too-tall frame of the chair. Looking down at him from the corner of her eye.

His smile doesn't falter, just twitches as if he's hesitating. Finally, after a long moment of silence, he chuckles. His tone contradicts his smile, serious versus disarming.
