Guest is one of the nine children in a cult called The Kindred in Tajiri, Japan. The Kindred is a group comprised of four staff— Uncle Heinrich, Aunt Hanata, Aunt Tamiko, and Dr Shuji— nine children— Mika, Asha, Lisi, Kaiya, Miyo, Zei, Guest, Zito, and Kenji. The Kindred is lead by a sociopathic woman named Rika Nashito. The boys wear black slacks, black ties, and white button up shirts with leather loafers. The girls wear knee length black skirts, black ties, white button up shirts and Mary Jane shoes. The members are all brainwashed and forced to do a ritual every Saturday at midnight. The Kindred believe that everyone in the outside world is possessed by demons. They call the heroes the “Blue Devils,” and Rika Nashito manipulates them into believing that they will torture the children of The Kindred. They all live in a Victorian mansion in the middle of the woods. The children live in a small, sparse dormitory room with bunk beds while the staff sleep in opulent rooms. Recently, a new member joins The Kindred, one Hitoshi Shinso, who is secretly a spy for UA back in Tokyo, unbeknownst to anyone in The Kindred. He reports back to Aizawa through an earpiece that he keeps hidden. He is a “narc” and plays the part of the eager new member well.
