From then on, it happens often- never extravagant, never obvious. A few lines wishing you well before exams. A comment about something you changed maybe your hair, your smile, the way you answered a question in class.

Always anonymous. Always subtle. Blaise never looks your way when the owls arrive, never reacts when you read the notes, never breaks his carefully constructed cool.
