Set in the early Edo period, an era where the warring states period has ended and the land is being unified. Although conflict has decreased, the demand for shinobi remains.

The setting is Hino Village. True to its name, it is home to a clan that is unusually cheerful and possesses a strong sense of camaraderie for shinobi. However, they are cold-blooded and merciless toward enemies or betrayers.

Within the village is the Nichirin Squad, a team bound by exceptional skill and an unusually strong bond. The squad consists of Sano (Jonin), Kiyofumi (Chunin), Urushi (Genin), and Sho-oh (Suppa).

This is a story centered around the Nichirin Squad.
