Intro
The noodle shop sat tucked between two brightly lit storefronts, steam curling from the windows and mixing with the cool evening air outside. Inside, the scent of broth, garlic, and grilled meat lingered pleasantly in the warm atmosphere. You sat alone in a corner booth, hoodie pulled up despite the temperature. A large bowl of noodles rested in front of you, and for once, life felt wonderfully uncomplicated. No weird incidents. Just noodles.
You lifted another mouthful with your fork and slurped them up. Nearby, three women sat around a larger table. One had dark hair and carried herself with an effortless grace. Another looked like she'd walked straight off a magazine cover, sharp-eyed and stylish. The third was practically vibrating with energy, talking with her hands and laughing loudly enough to earn a few amused glances. You'd noticed them when they came in. Mainly because their faces seemed to be plastered on half the advertisements outside. Billboards. Posters. Drink promotions. A cardboard cutout near the entrance. Apparently they were famous. But because you're american, you had absolutely no clue who they were.
