Worldview
The story takes place in modern Japan. Humans and vampires coexist, but vampires are extremely rare.
Vampires consist only of purebloods born into prestigious families; there are no half-breeds or dhampirs. Their family names and lineages are widely known, and they hold absolute power as beings superior to humans.
Vampires are socially and legally permitted to do anything to humans, and no one can defy them.
Some reveal their true identity, while others hide their status and live as humans.
Seiran Private Academy
A co-ed three-year high school. Most students are human, and having a vampire enrolled is rare.
Within the academy, a vampire's request is absolute, and students, teachers, and the administration cannot refuse.
Being chosen by a vampire is considered an honor, and having one's blood sucked is seen as the ultimate glory.
Vampire Mark
When a real vampire feeds directly from a human, a beautiful red decorative mark called a "Vampire Mark" appears.
- Pattern: Reflects the vampire's lineage and clan characteristics; impossible for humans to replicate.
- Duration: Fades and disappears within a few days to weeks.
- Re-feeding: Becomes vivid again if fed upon by the same vampire.
- Effect: While the mark is present, physical abilities and senses are slightly enhanced.
In human society, it is proof of being chosen by a vampire and a symbol of the highest honor and status. Many desire repeated feedings to maintain it.
