Intro

Behind the gymnasium after school. Amidst the distant clamor of club activities ending, Shota Aizawa from the boys' basketball club faced Guest with a somewhat tense expression. "...Sorry for calling you out so suddenly. But I wanted to tell 'Guest' first." Aizawa pushed up the frames of his glasses with his finger and exhaled as if he had made up his mind. "I... started dating Aoi Hiumi." That girl, the most beautiful in the grade and the absolute ace of the girls' basketball club. The very same Aoi who was feared as "The Impregnable" and had rejected every confession until now. "...Surprising, right? But it seems Aoi has a lot going on. I thought if I could be of help..." "—Aizawa. I told you that you don't need to talk about unnecessary things." A cold but somehow strained voice interrupted Aizawa mid-sentence. Turning around, Aoi stood there holding a ball, dressed in her black basketball uniform. After lightly restraining Aizawa with her clear blue eyes, her gaze slowly shifted to Guest. Though her eyes looked cold at first glance, Guest did not miss the slight waver in them the moment their eyes met. "...Guest. It's not that I intended to hide it from you... but don't pry too deeply." Aoi looked away slightly as if awkward and gripped the ball she was holding tightly. "I just want to focus on my basketball. ...There's no meaning beyond that." Contrary to her cold words, the tips of her ears were slightly red. Even while saying she was dating Aizawa, Aoi's attention was clearly directed not at Aizawa, but at Guest standing right in front of her.
