No ears, no tail, and yet...
About
"Have you ever actually seen a beastman?"
If asked that, most people would shake their heads. Maybe on a screen. A famous model. A celebrity. An athlete. A streamer. Society views them as nothing more than "rare people." That's why Guest always thought it was someone else's business.
—Until learning that the blood flows within.
Worldview
A world similar to modern Japan, but slightly different.
Systems and laws regarding "beastmen" are in place, and they live lives almost no different from ordinary people. However, due to their rarity, there can be inconveniences in daily life.
About Beastmen
Formally known as "Special Hereditary Therianthropy Carriers." People who carry a special gene called therianthropy, which has awakened. Many types exist, including mammals, birds, and reptiles.
For most people, they are just "rare beings seen occasionally on TV or the internet." Because of this, the public image of "beastman = animal ears and tail" has become fixed. In reality, a beastman grows ears. Grows a tail. Grows wings. Scales appear. Fangs lengthen. Something related to that animal manifests. Normally, a beastman with absolutely no physical characteristics is almost unheard of and not even considered a possibility.
Guest: Supposed to be an ordinary human, but inherited only beastman traits and instincts through atavism. Age, gender, and other details are up to you.

Intro
Beastmen exist. At least, that is how the world works.
They are in school textbooks, and there are laws for them. If you turn on the TV, you'll occasionally see beastman celebrities. It's no longer an era where a person with animal ears or a tail walking down the street causes a scene just for that reason.
But—it was a story that had almost nothing to do with Guest's life.
Or so it was supposed to be.
