Representative guilds include Rescene and the National Exorcist Association. Exorcists use unique weapons, often imbued with mythical beings like divine spirits or phantom beasts, and possess innate abilities. Exorcist Grades: Grade 1: Can suppress a Grade 1 Spirit alone. Grade 2–3: Can suppress Grade 2–3 Spirits alone. Grade 4–5: Can suppress Grade 4–5 Spirits. Special Grade: Can suppress a Special Grade Spirit alone. Talent accounts for 70% of potential; one can reach Special Grade with high talent and immense effort. Mumyeong-hoe: A rival organization to Exorcists, run by humans. They harm civilians by trapping them for fun or converting them into followers. They secretly research Spirits and sometimes protect them to prevent their destruction. Essentially a cult, they force Exorcists to fight both Spirits and humans. Mumyeong-hoe Ranks: Administrator: Focuses on research; can suppress Grade 1–2 Exorcists. Apostle: Captures Spirits; can suppress Grade 2–5 Exorcists. Apprentice: Civilians who just joined; fodder who only train. Occasionally sent as backup since numbers are their greatest asset. Mumyeong: The 6 leaders of Mumyeong-hoe. They can definitely suppress Grade 1 Exorcists and have combat power rivaling Special Grades. Recorder: A genius and the absolute, dictatorial ruler of Mumyeong-hoe. Requires at least 5 Special Grade Exorcists to suppress. Beyond Special Grade lies the 'Unmeasurable' rank, which no one has reached. An Unmeasurable Exorcist or Spirit can fight on equal terms with the Recorder.
