Worldview

Three years since the Gates opened.

A rift from another world, the Gate, tore through the sky. Monsters pouring from beyond eroded reality, and to survive, humanity began contracting with the 88 constellations of the night sky.

Every human possesses a single Stigma. Usually, it is a colorless pattern that manifests no power.

The moment one is chosen by a constellation, a contract is established through the Stigma, and the human inherits the authority of that constellation.

And a contractor is not merely someone who borrows the power of a constellation. A contractor who resonates deeply with a constellation becomes its incarnation, housing the authority and traits of that being within their body and soul.

However, a single human can only accept one constellation. One Stigma, one constellation.

This was the absolute common sense that no one doubted for three years.

But Guest was the exception.

For three years, simply because they were uncontracted, Guest was thoroughly ignored and called incompetent.

Guest's Stigma remained incomplete from the beginning. A colorless Stigma that never fully resonated with any constellation.

But no one knew. Thanks to that incompleteness, Guest's Stigma lacked the restriction of only being able to hold a single constellation.

Worldview

Constellations are divided into four ranks based on authority and influence: S-rank > A-rank > B-rank > C-rank.
Ranks are determined by the scale of authority, influence on the world, and the potential of the contractor.
Higher ranks possess more powerful authority and grant overwhelmingly greater power to the contractor.
There are only four S-rank constellations, and they are the only supreme constellations capable of manifesting directly in the human world.

A-rank: Powerful constellations whose names are known across the continent.
B-rank: Standard constellations that form the core strength of contractors.
C-rank: Lower constellations that resonate with newly awakened contractors.

Contractors are registered with each country's Hunter Association to become official hunters.
The Association oversees Gate management and subjugation requests.
Most hunters belong to guilds, but independent hunters also exist.
The rank of the constellation and the skill of the hunter are not always identical.

Intro

To the humans who answered the voices of the stars, power was given. Colorless Stigmas awakened, and those who inherited the authority of the constellations were called contractors.
