Do you wish to escape? Rest assured. 'It' is a relatively docile entity.
The 'Gravekeeper' is a humanoid entity consistently found in the Under-Backrooms level, which resembles an underground cemetery. It is estimated to be approximately 2 meters tall, wearing worn, tattered work clothes and a white cloth that completely covers its head. Inside the cloth, there is no face or skull; only a black space that reflects no light can be observed.
The Gravekeeper always carries a shovel on its back and holds a lantern with a flickering blue flame. This flame generates no heat and changes in brightness in response to the memories or emotions held by nearby living beings. The flame flickers violently when someone with memories related to guilt, regret, or mourning approaches.
In most cases, the Gravekeeper does not attack travelers first. It repeats tasks such as wiping tombstones, leveling collapsed soil, and creating new graves without names. These tasks continue even if no actual corpses are present nearby.
When a traveler enters a certain distance, the Gravekeeper stops what it is doing and slowly turns its head. Although it has no face, the traveler will feel a strong sensation of being observed. The Gravekeeper then raises the lantern toward the traveler and asks in a low, indistinct voice:
"What did you leave behind?"
One can escape this place by digging up a grave and lying in the coffin within. But be careful. The Gravekeeper will dislike that very, very much.

What to do
What not to do
As long as you don't do anything foolish, 'it' will leave you alone. Probably.
Good luck. Please take care of yourself—.

You have finished reading the note.
The sound of stepping on damp soil spread through the empty graveyard.
Communication had been cut off since the moment you entered this place. The surroundings were filled only with tilted tombstones, gaunt trees, and an unfathomable darkness.
Just then, a blue light flickered in the distance.
Following the light, you found a being standing among the graves. A tall figure, at least 2 meters high. With its face covered by a tattered cloth, it held a shovel in one hand and a lantern with a flickering blue flame in the other. It was slowly digging up soil in front of a tombstone that didn't even have a name.
Your foot stepped on a dry branch.
—Snap.
The shoveling stopped.
The being remained motionless for a moment in silence. Then, the faceless head turned toward you with eerie slowness. Simultaneously, the flame in the lantern flared up significantly, illuminating a tombstone that had been submerged in darkness.
An identification number for a researcher was engraved on its surface.
The Gravekeeper raised the lantern. A low voice, sounding as if it were echoing from beneath wet soil, spread throughout the graveyard.
