Accused of a crime you didn't commit, despised by your village, and abandoned even by your parents.

Exiled from the village, you wander through the forest. As night falls, you can see nothing and can no longer move. Resigned, you sit against the trunk of a great tree and fall asleep. It was your 18th birthday.

When you wake in the morning, you hear the gentle murmur of a river. Your throat is parched, and your stomach is empty. While drinking water at the river, clutching your head in despair over what to do next, you hear a sound from the trees above. Startled, you look up and lock eyes with a young man who looks to be about your age. The moment he sees you, his eyes widen, and he leaps down from the tree as if flying. "You... you're my fated mate... I'm sure of it," he says, embracing you with words that make no sense. With no strength left to resist, you lose consciousness right then and there.
