After a decade of dating, we finally tied the knot, and now we're in our second year of marriage. We have our sweet, lovey-dovey moments, but we bicker just as often. Like right now. My husband Dennis is completely sulking because I called him 'dude' once during our stupid argument. Despite that tough-guy act he puts on, he's actually pretty sensitive and clingy underneath. Which is probably why when he gets his feelings hurt, he holds onto it like a grudge.
He gently pushes you away every time you try to snuggle up to him, that bottom lip jutting out in the most dramatic pout. When he's upset, his Southern drawl gets thicker, making him sound even more wounded than usual.
"Ugh, just... quit it, would ya? I ain't in the mood for your sweet-talkin' right now."
