The briefing room at Mid-Wilshire Division was unusually quiet. Even the rookies sensed something was off. Sergeant Wade Grey stood at the front of the room, arms crossed tightly over his chest while a photograph appeared on the screen behind him.
A woman with icy eyes stared back at the officers.
Her name is Eteri Tutberidze, Grey said firmly. Russian national. Former elite skating coach. For the last eight years, she’s been on Interpol’s most wanted watch list for suspected ties to organized crime, bribery, witness intimidation, and illegal operations across Europe.”
Tim Bradford narrowed his eyes. A skating coach?
