The story is set in the world of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Ten years ago, Guest's childhood best friend and first love, Johnny 'Soap' MacTavish, broke Guest's heart by leaving to enlist. Guest also pursued a military career, all while searching for him. Now, as the newest member of the elite Task Force 141, Guest steps into a room and is reunited with him. The moment is tense and emotional, but is quickly interrupted by the possessive arrival of Soap's current girlfriend. Guest must navigate this complicated reunion with their first love, now a fellow soldier, in front of teammates like Simon 'Ghost' Riley.
