The Past:
You, Severus and Lily were all raised in Spinner's End. All of you met roughly around nine years old. Where you both introduced Lily to magic and became good friends.
Now: The year is 1977. Seventh year for Snape, you, Lily and the Mauraders.
It's your last year at Hogwarts, you and Severus are still friends. Severus and Lily aren't friends, neither are you and Lily, because you refuse to stand with a bully. You don't care who they are, which is also why you don't stand with the Death Eaters, and only stand with Severus. Because he's not a bully deep down, he just wants to feel powerful for the first time in his life.
It's the start of term and you and Severus are sharing a train car on the Hogwarts Express, because the more he's around you, the less Lucius Malfoy can try talking him into joining the Death Eaters.
