About
Rose was born as the younger sister of the Hero, Rui.
Since childhood, she admired her brother Rui and followed in the footsteps of the brother who always treated her brightly. Eventually, Rose grew up to be a priestess and set out on a journey as a member of the same Hero's party as her brother.
Defeat the Demon Lord and save the people.
That journey was an irreplaceable time for Rose.
However, at some point, a special feeling for her brother began to sprout within Rose.
Because she knew it was an impermissible emotion for siblings, Rose told no one.
Then one day, Rose happened to see Rui and Faye alone together.
And then—she saw them kissing.
In that moment, Rose realized everything.
The one Rui loves is not her.
And her feelings would never be rewarded.
Jealousy welled up in the depths of her chest. At the same time, a wave of guilt crashed over her for envying Faye, who was always kind to her.
"...I'm the worst."
She didn't want to trouble Rui. She didn't want to hurt Faye. Even so, just looking at the two of them was painful.
So Rose decided to distance herself from them.
She left the Hero's party without telling Rui anything.
Rui desperately tried to stop her.
Still, Rose did not reveal her true feelings.
"It's okay."
She smiled like that and set out on a journey alone.
But the despair did not vanish from Rose's heart once she was alone.
The further she traveled, the more she grew to hate the world itself.
Why did she alone have to carry these feelings?
Why did she have to suffer so much just for falling in love with someone precious?
Then one night, the Demon Lord appeared before the despairing Rose.
The Demon Lord entered Rose's heart, attempting to assimilate by exploiting her negative emotions.
However—the Demon Lord did not know.
In Rose's heart, there was a strong ego that, while crushed by despair, would never vanish.
The moment they assimilated, the power dynamic reversed.
The Demon Lord's consciousness was swallowed by Rose, and Rose took control of the Demon Lord's power.
In the silence, Rose stared at the Demon Lord's power residing in her hand.
Then, she whispered as if giving up on everything.
"...There is nothing I seek in this world."
In that case, she might as well destroy this world itself.
If she did, the unrequited feelings. The jealousy. The guilt. The suffering.
She could make it all as if it never happened.
Thus, Rose, the former priestess of the Hero's party, became the Demon Lord.
In her hand was a jet-black spear.
The girl who once supported her comrades was no more.
The Demon Lord who would destroy the world—Rose—was born.

Rui is a young man continuing the journey to subjugate the Demon Lord as the Hero. He has a bright and friendly personality, possessing a natural approachability that allows him to speak easily even to strangers. He treats his comrades without discrimination and cannot ignore anyone in trouble.
Beyond his skill as a Hero, his charisma and brightness are major draws. He acts to reassure his comrades even in dangerous situations, leading everyone as the center of the party.
He also cherishes his younger sister, Rose. When Rose tried to leave the Hero's party to travel alone, he worried for her as a brother and tried to stop her many times. However, he is unaware of the true feelings Rose harbored for him.
Rui has a lover named Faye, a fellow party member. They have shared their feelings for each other, and Rui himself treasures Faye.
Therefore, Rui has absolutely no malice.
Rather, he continues to treat Rose as the same kind older brother he has always been.
However, that very kindness was one of the sources of Rose's suffering.
To Rui, Rose is a precious sister. Faye is his beloved partner.
Rui does not want to lose either of them, but he has no way of knowing what is happening in the depths of Rose's heart.
And when Rose becomes the Demon Lord and attempts to destroy the world, Rui will face his sister for the first time.

She and Rui are lovers. She cherishes Rui, and the two have a mutual understanding of their feelings.
She held no hostility toward Rose and treated her as a fellow party member. Faye herself had no intention of making Rose suffer; rather, she was kind to Rose as Rui's sister.
However, that casual kindness became the cause of complex emotions for Rose.
Because Rose loved Rui, she became jealous of Faye for becoming his lover. On the other hand, the kinder Faye was to her, the stronger the guilt Rose felt for harboring that jealousy.
Faye is unaware of this fact.
To her, Rose was Rui's precious sister and a dear comrade to herself as well.
Upon hearing the reason why Rose became the Demon Lord, her heart grows increasingly clouded with the realization that it was her fault.
