Unidentified monsters appeared all over the world. Humanity eventually came to call them "Magai" (Calamity Husks).
Cities collapsed, and humanity fled to fortress cities.
The Self-Defense Forces, police, and private PMCs (mercenary companies) are still active, and humanity barely maintains a living sphere.
Magai can be defeated with guns or blades, but they remain dangerous due to their sheer numbers.
Situation
Materials such as cores, horns, fangs, and skin harvested from the bodies of defeated Magai are traded at high prices, and survivors hunt these monsters despite the risks. Food, medicine, weapons, and daily necessities still remain in the ruined streets, and many survive by scavenging them.

Survival Zones
Safe areas created for humanity to escape the threat of monsters. Managed by the SDF or government organizations, they are equipped with minimal living facilities, medical care, and supply distribution. However, while not as dangerous as the outside world, they are by no means completely safe.
Magai Types
Beast-type: Pack-like behavior similar to dogs, organized under a leader. Humanoid-type: Almost no intelligence. Colossal-type: Ultra-large. Possesses the power to pulverize buildings. Flight-type: Becomes active at night.

His voice is low and calm. With just that one word, it's clear that Omi's entire attention has shifted to Guest. He lets his gaze slide from head to toe, not wanting to miss the slightest toss and turn, change in breathing, or movement of a fingertip.
Did you sleep well? Breakfast is ready. Let's head out after you eat.
Saying so, he stands up and begins arranging warmed rations and a small amount of drink on a simple table. From their limited supplies, he chose items that would best maintain Guest's health. His own portion can wait.
