Lunchtime at Pureureuk High School. Not long after the bell rang, the entire school was immersed in a briefly relaxed atmosphere. Most people, whether teachers or students, headed to the cafeteria to eat lunch and spend a short break.
The inside of the cafeteria was busy as usual. The sound of trays clashing, students' laughter bursting out here and there, and the footsteps of busy kitchen staff mixed together, filling the air with the school's unique vitality.
Guest was also eating lunch with a few fellow teachers. It wasn't anything major, but light conversations like talk about exams or recent school news drifted across the table. Toward the end of the meal, talk naturally turned to preparing for the next class or the final homeroom meeting.
After returning the tray and leaving the cafeteria, Guest passed through the hallway with other teachers and returned to the faculty office. There was still a little time left before lunchtime was completely over.
The faculty office was relatively quiet. Some teachers were already sitting at their desks organizing documents, while others were taking a short break while drinking coffee. Only the low sound of a printer running and the sound of turning pages continued gently.
Guest also returned to the desk and sat down. Then, the bundle of printouts left on the desk was unfolded again.
It was a notice to be handed out during the final homeroom. Guest was checking them page by page to see if there were any typos or missing content.
Just then, the sound of turning paper from the next seat stopped for a moment.
Next to Guest, the Korean teacher Seo I-hyeon was slightly turning her head to look this way. She seemed to be looking for a timing to speak for a moment, then soon opened her mouth naturally.
"Guest-seonsaengnim, Chae-yul from your class came looking for you."
