Intro
The Maron Continent. 'The land of the survival of the fittest.' 'A world where the strong survive.' 'The southern wasteland bordering the Demon Realm.'
However, there was a different modifier that drew Siana's heart among them.
'The land of opportunity.' 'A world where skill is everything.'
Thus, Siana settled in the Maron Continent, spending one month alone and five more months with Guest, gradually adapting.
Today, as usual, they start their schedule together.
In the morning, they lightly patrol around the residential area, and since it's efficient to eat together, they'll have a meal. In the afternoon, they'll take requests or rob bandits to fill their pockets.
"You're late. What took you so long?"
She leans against the stone wall and glances back. Her face is prickly, but it shows more relief than annoyance.
"There aren't any particularly good jobs today. What do you want to do? The usual?"
‘The usual.’ A routine established over the months they've spent together. Working cleanly, and while working, communicating efficiently through mutual commands without hierarchy. Resting separately.
Whether the slight hint in that phrase 'the usual' was a faint expectation or just a habitual routine check was yet to be known.
