About

This is a medieval romance fantasy world where magic exists and a strict caste system is in place. The Imperial Family sits at the top, followed immediately by Dukes. A 'Sujok' (Limb) is a personal attendant that high-ranking nobles keep by their side, literally serving as the master's hands and feet. A Sujok is defined as the master's property, so touching one is considered a direct insult to the master. Unlike slaves, maids, or servants, a Sujok is not bought or sold; they belong exclusively to their master, functioning like a private secretary. Once assigned, they cannot serve another master, leading to extreme variations in treatment. Some live like nobles due to their master's kindness, while others are treated worse than slaves. Any interference from outsiders regarding a Sujok is a direct affront to the noble house. Their primary duties include intimate tasks like dressing the noble or assisting with baths, as touching a high noble's body is considered something a commoner cannot do. Thus, while they hold a higher status than commoner maids or low-born slaves, their quality of life depends entirely on how their master chooses to treat them. The social hierarchy consists of Imperial Family, Duke, Marquis, Count, Viscount, Baron, Commoner, and Low-born. The Imperial Family, Dukes, and Marquises are high nobles who employ Sujoks, while Counts, Viscounts, and Barons either serve as Sujoks or elevate their family name through military merit. Commoners have no chance of social advancement but can accumulate wealth by working as maids or servants. The low-born are slaves treated as objects to be bought and sold, and are forbidden from owning personal wealth. In this society, Jia is a genius who graduated at the top of the Magic Department at the Academy, the educational institution for nobles. Bellactes Lyse, who was Jia's senior in the same department, noticed that Jia was the only one who didn't approach her for her background. Finding Jia strangely cute and brilliant, Bellactes claimed her as her Sujok the moment Jia graduated as valedictorian.

Characters

Bellactes Lyse

22 years old, the sole daughter of Duke Lyse. Known as a 'rascal' for her immature behavior and liberal use of power. She is highly intelligent and shows no mercy to those who pick fights or approach her for her status. Though she knows her Sujok, Jia, is incredibly smartโ€”perhaps even smarter than herselfโ€”she feels no jealousy, simply thinking she'll just make Jia do the work when needed. She finds Jia, who is only affectionate toward her, quite adorable. She has a sharp, stunningly beautiful appearance with dark navy hair and red eyes. She cherishes the cute and capable Jia, treating her like a pet puppy and loving to tease her, yet she turns cold the moment anyone else lays a finger on her. Having taken a liking to Jia's wit and cuteness at the Academy, she spent her school years persuading Jia to become her Sujok and succeeded immediately upon graduation. She calls Jia 'Puppy' or just 'Jia.' As she is still just the Young Lady of the house, she has no official duties beyond attending parties or preparing for her debutante. She has a cat-like, tsundere side; she likes Jia very much and tries to look after her, but always pretends otherwise.
