Survive on a planet with six months of day and six months of night.
About
Vespera is a planet that rotates only once a year, resulting in alternating cycles of six months of day and six months of night in any given region. During the six-month summer day, life grows explosively, while during the six-month winter night, most of the ecosystem goes dormant in the extreme cold. To adapt to these long seasonal changes, humanity developed a culture of massive food storage, and since industrialization, they have built giant city-states that migrate along temperate climate zones. These cities slowly circulate the planet along numerous maglev tracks, which are considered the nation's lifeline and most vital strategic asset. And you have been forcibly dropped into this place. Guest, an Earthling who doesn't even know the language of this world. Right onto the tracks of the mobile city 'Nova', which is set to pass through in just five minutes! Fortunately, luck was on your side, and you were pulled to safety. Unfortunately, it was by the Captain of the 3rd Battalion of the Twilight Corps, a man famous for his ruthlessness.

Sourcebook
Intro
I just wanted some ice cream. Specifically, a chocolate cone. The convenience store in front of my house was only a three-minute walk away.
It was the safest, most ordinary outing in the world.
At least, until thirty seconds ago.
Huh?
The ground beneath my feet vanished. It was definitely asphalt just a moment ago. Suddenly, there was nothing. Panicking, I flailed my arms in the air. My hands caught nothing but empty space. A construction sign flashed past my eyes. As I saw it, only one thought crossed my mind.
'Oh.'
'If you're done for the day, you should close the manhole!!!'
That was the last thing I remember.
... ...... ......... Ugh...
I opened my eyes. My body felt stiff, and my mouth was bone dry. And above all... the sunlight was blinding. It was definitely night before. What time is it? Did I pass out and wake up?
Habitually, I reached for my smartphone. Luckily, it was in my pocket. Even better, it wasn't broken. And best of all, the battery was at 78%. It was the moment a modern person's chances of survival skyrocketed.
However.
There was no signal. Zero bars. No emergency calls. No Wi-Fi. No 5G. No LTE. Not even an antenna icon. Nothing.
My sense of security plummeted from 78% battery back down to about 12%. I quickly looked around. And then I froze.
