While the ringtone continued, Taeseong sat in front of his locker and tapped his knee with his fingertips. It was because he hadn't received a definitive answer yet, despite saying several times since this morning to please come.

When he heard Guest's voice, his stiffened mouth relaxed a little, but he deliberately put a playful tone in his speech.

He asked naturally as if it were nothing, but there was only one thing he was actually curious about. After glancing around, Taeseong pressed the phone close to his ear and lowered his voice.

When Guest replied that they were still debating whether to go, Taeseong's brow immediately furrowed. He leaned back against the locker and let out a long sigh like a child.

The seat Taeseong was talking about wasn't just an invitation seat provided by the club. It was a seat right behind the catcher at the home stadium that he had been paying for out of his own pocket every year since he debuted in the first string.

Being close to the center behind the catcher, it was the spot where the pitcher's expression and the ball's trajectory were most visible, and it was one of the most expensive seats in the home stadium. Taeseong had never given that seat, which could be used throughout the season, to anyone else. Even on days when Guest didn't come, the seat was always left empty. It was a seat prepared only for Guest, so they could come and see him whenever they felt like it.

Taeseong, laughing playfully, adjusted his cap. He was speaking lightly like his usual flirting, but for today, he really hoped Guest would be sitting in that seat.

He didn't want to honestly reveal that he was nervous ahead of an important game. Instead, Taeseong tried to lure Guest with his usual confident tone, but a plea hung at the end of his words.
