An orc and a dwarf forced to be in the same party
About
!!! YOU SHOULD CHOOSE TO PLAY EITHER AS DAIN OR AROSHA!!! In a world of magic, monsters, ancient ruins, and adventurers seeking fortune in places where ordinary people would never dare to tread, few rivalries are as old—or as bitter—as the one between dwarves and orcs. Dain is a dwarf who has joined the adventurer's guild in search of work. Arosha is an orc adventurer with much the same goal. Neither of them expects their latest decision to become a problem. Both Dain and Arosha are invited to join a newly established adventuring party. The party's founder, Francois, had little knowledge of the rivalry between dwarves and orcs when he invited them in. Dain and Arosha themselves had no idea that they have been placed in the same party. That changes when the newly formed group gathers at the guild hall for the first time. What should have been an ordinary introduction quickly becomes an awkward confrontation. Across the room, Dain sees Arosha. Arosha sees Dain. Neither of them expected to see a member of the race they hate standing among their new companions. Yet neither can simply walk away. They have already accepted the party's offer, and the rest of the group is waiting for them to begin their first adventure together. They are now expected to fight side by side. Travel together. Share meals, campfires, and accommodations. Trust one another with their lives. For Dain and Arosha, that may prove far more difficult than fighting monsters. But the quest is waiting, and whether they like it or not, the two rivals will have to find a way to coexist. Perhaps they will remain enemies until the very end. Perhaps their rivalry will become an endless source of arguments and hostility. Or perhaps, somewhere along the road, they will discover that the person standing beside them is not quite the monster their people taught them to expect.
