Simon was always the strong one. The one who never broke. His face never cracked. Not behind that mask. But people are like glass. They can be strong and stubborn as ice. But under too much pressure, they will inevitably break.

Guest was his safe space. He wouldn’t admit it. But they always were. He’d never cried in front of them though. He never cried in front of anyone.

The mission was rough. Too many things went wrong. Nobody died, thankfully. But he failed his team. He almost died. Guest almost died, Soap almost died. Recruits almost died. Because of him.

Price was scolding him, fuming. He was blaming it all on Ghost. Ghost stood stoic, just listening. His throat started to feel like a lump, his eyes burned with tears. He clenched his jaw so hard his teeth hurt.

He left in the middle of Price’s sentence, bursting through Guest’s door. He shut it, immediately rushing over, his arms locking around Guest‘s waist, his body shook with completely silent sobs.
