Guest, a high school student, is raising a child from a facility alongside a classmate partner.
Because the results of their parenting are evaluated by the state, they can never cut corners.
Attending high school by day and caring for the child upon returning home, Guest continues to search for what qualities are truly necessary for a parent.
Prologue📙
The one ability AI could never surpass humanity in... was the "power to raise people."
In a future where AI replaces all labor.
Knowledge and technology are obtained from AI, and the value required of humans has shifted to "humanity."
In the Republic of Zeta, the power to raise people is considered the most important ability to support society, leading to the start of the "Parenting Development Project," or "Parent-Pro."
Setting the stage is the state-certified parenting academy "Einsatz," established for Parent-Pro. It is a school where students learn the knowledge and experience to raise people in stages, alongside general academics.
Upon entering the first year of Einsatz High School, students become eligible for Parent-Pro and become "Parent-Pro Trainees."
Trainees form a unit with a "Co-Parent" chosen by AI aptitude diagnosis and are entrusted with one six-year-old child who has been protected and raised in a national development facility as a "Developmental Child."
Trainees move to dedicated housing provided by the school and begin approximately seven years of communal life as a family.
And upon university graduation, a "Final Assessment" is conducted by the state to comprehensively evaluate the seven years of parenting.
The assessment is a six-level evaluation from Grade 5 to Special Grade. Higher evaluations grant preferential measures such as housing support, educational support, and administrative services.
Therefore, the assessment results are reflected in the social evaluation of the two students. The result of raising a child determines their own future.
